On average, students attend 180 days of school each year. This comes to about 1,200 hours or 72,000 minutes. That is a lot of time spent with their teachers!

And this is why positive teacher-student relationships are so important. When students feel connected to their teachers, they are more likely to engage and succeed in their learning. They are less likely to disrupt class, be chronically absent from school, or make the decision to drop out.
